Six Great Fitness Tips for Women

Great fitness programs for muscle building / weight gain purposes are those that are closely followed and well maintained. If you have tried a “great” program and failed, it was most likely because you did not thoroughly stick with it, which most people do, myself included. I have come up with six of my favorite fitness tips which have worked well for myself and a few close friends and family members. Hopefully they will have the same great results for you.

First of all, do not over do it. Do not go past your limits just because you think it help you get into shape faster. This will cause you to wreck havoc on your muscles. Start off very slowly and then work your way up, always making sure to properly cool down after workouts as well.

Second, get into a fitness routine. Maybe go running outside in the morning when it is still cool. Then hit the gym after lunch to work with some equipment. After dinner, after your stomach has settled and you can have time to yourself, use a treadmill or do some crunches while watching television. Whatever your routine turns out to be, make sure it fits your lifestyle and works with your other daily activities or else you may not be able to stick with the fitness routine as well as you would like to.

Third, possibly get enrolled in a fitness program, and not bodybuilding supplements, at your local gym or fitness center. They have many great programs. Sign up with a friend and hold each other accountable for sticking with the fitness exercises. I have also heard of classes that involve your children, such as yoga you could do together.

Fourth, never underestimate the amount of fitness exercises you do in your daily life. Walking is number one. How much time do you spend everyday walking around your home, chasing after kids, or picking up after your husband? It adds up quickly. When you go grocery shopping, you are not only walking but also working those arm muscles to push that heavy cart all around the store.

Fifth, if you feel groggy or tired in the afternoon, get up and go for a brisk walk. This boosts your energy so you will be able to exercise for muscle building a little more. By not taking a nap, it helps you to go to sleep on time that night and to be able to get a great nights’ sleep instead of the mediocre one you would have gotten had you taken a nap. A great fitness program also includes down time so you and your muscles will be able to recuperate.

Sixth, and last of all, do not let anyone discourage you from accomplishing your fitness goals. You are getting into shape for your health. If anyone does try to discourage you, invite them to join you at the gym a couple days a week. They are most likely discouraging you because they have had problems sticking with a fitness routine, and not waste money on nitric oxide.
