Another Muscle Building / Weight Loss Supplement Bites The Dust

Whether your goal is muscle building or burning body fat, maintaining a low level of body fat is extremely important in having a physique worthy of showing off at the beach. Who cares if you can bench press 500 pounds for reps or if your arms measure 20 inches if everything is covered in a horrible layer of fat.

You can do all the muscle building workouts that exist, but if your muscles aren’t defined, you will be pretty much wasting your time.

Well, yet another supplement the preyed on those seeking an edge in burning body fat and keeping their metabolism roaring along via a dietary supplement is the one known as Number 10 (NT).

This supplement, developed by Chinese researchers, is made up of rhubarb, ginger, astragulus, red sage, and turmeric. This supplement was hyped as being an excellent fat burning supplement and an appetite suppressor.

Well, researchers at Louisiana State University found that using Number 10 for 3 months, at a dosage of 6 – 12 grams per day, didn’t assist in any weight loss or appetite suppression on those that participated in the study.

However, what did happen was that they got a serious case of “the squirts”, aka diarrhea!!!!

All this is documented in “Chinese Medicine, in press; published online September 14, 2007; International Journal Obesity, 30: 1737-1741, 2006″.

Hey, if it’s the “runs” that you’re after, I’ve got something much cheaper than Number 10…….and it will get you just as far in your muscle building efforts!
