“Anabolic Burner”: Another Supplement Watch Out

Muscle building supplements aimed at helping the user to gain muscle weight “naturally” is a multi-billion dollar a year industry. The problem is that very few have ever been proven to actually work. What’s the use of spending hundreds of dollars per month on something that doesn’t really make a difference in your physique. Think about it. How many different types of dietary supplements haven’t been released over the years, being hyped up as the latest, “most potent”, “anabolic”, “barely legal” product, promising you mountains of muscle and tons of body fat shed…..only to completely disappear within the year???

If they were half as effective as advertised they would have lasted the test of time, don’t you think? Just take a quick look at some back issues from years ago of some of the popular muscle magazines and you’ll see just what I mean. Take a look at the nutritional supplements that are in the pages. Do you even remember some of them? Where did they go? Did any of them pan out as advertised?

Interesting, huh.

Now, every once in a while you’ll get a certain supplement that seems to really work. Well, hold off, not so fast, buddy. Take a look at what some supplement manufacturers have done.

There is a trend called “spiking”, which is to add certain illegal substances into a muscle building / weight gain supplement. For example, some anabolic steroids have been found in some supplements in the past. Clenbuterol, which is a popular fat burning drug, was in certain weight loss products. Even meds like Viagara have been found in some libido-raising pills. The purpose of doing this, at least from the manufacturers stand point, is if you lace these supplements with illegal ingredients when first released to the market, word will get around that “hey, this supplement actually works”, which will results in huge sales. Once that reputation is established, then the manufacturer will stop lacing or spiking the product, making it now worthless. But unsuspecting individuals will continue to throw their hard earned money at them.

One very specific case of this is a supplement known as “Anabolic Burner”. This product was hyped as being a fat burning product, but it actually contained a dose of 30 mcg of Clenbuterol per tablet. Just goes to show you once again why I strongly recommend against putting any of your hopes or dreams in any muscle building / weight gaining supplement. Focus on the only things that matter and work…..and have stood the test of time:

*The correct weight training routine
*The correct calorie levels of eating day in and day out
